Learning starts with curiosity. How does that work? or What is the history behind this idea or thing? The number of questions to ask and to be answered is infinite.
Before computers were networked together to create the internet, there was the library, the saloon, perhaps a university, the church, the town square... There were little means for carrying information vast distances. Either by horse or by boat, it would take a long time for information to be carried from place to place.
The time for waiting is over.
Big Data is here, accessible directly from the mobile computer most likely stored in your pocket. Getting from the point of having little understanding to the point of clarity is done by simply acknowledging your curiosity to know, and then asking the question. What used to be an arduous process, locked away for the privileged, is now available to anyone with an internet connection.
