As a teacher (secondary maths/science) I reject the concept of teaching children. Once the child has learnt to read they can teach themselves almost anything they want to learn. And it does not matter how good cleaver /cunning you are there is virtually nothing you can do if they don't want to learn. The adult role in teaching is guidance and setting an example. Asking more questions and giving fewer answers. This US based homeschooling curriculum is designed with this in mind. Follow the link and try it. https://www.colind6.sg-host.com/ron-paul/

This is a US Course, the core subjects are the same as in Australia, Common Core Curriculum came from the US, but this is not a common core or a CRT (critical race theory) .

"This is by far the most academically rigorous college prep home school program. Test drive any course for free here." -- Ron Paul.
There are no shortcuts for academic success in college. There are also no shortcuts for preparing for a college prep high school. The study habits required for academic success must be developed early.
If you are looking for a curriculum for your children that will enable them to attain academic success in college, yet which frees up parents from the tasks of creating daily lesson plans and hands-on teaching, this curriculum is for you.
This is a college preparation program, but it also teaches students how to start a home business. It is a practical program.
Students learn self-discipline as soon as they learn how to to read. In grade 4, my program becomes 98% self-taught. This habit is basic to survival in college, when students are on their own. They need academic self-reliance to survive.

  1. Governors across the nation have shut down classroom education. Parents
and students are now learning about online distance learning.

This is great. Online education is more efficient than classroom-based
education. It’s also far cheaper for school districts and therefore
taxpayers. Teachers can easily teach three dozen students or more because
there are no problems with discipline.

Here is an article that was posted on CNN. CNN is surely mainstream. The
author is a locked-down mother of school-age children. She sees the
potential for online education. Six weeks ago, she had no idea. She writes:

“School administrators can empower teachers to change the mission — to
make it about creating independent learners, and to understand how much
they will now be responsible for managing their time, checking off their
assignments, raising their hand on a computer instead of catching their
    teacher’s eye.”

Government schools should have been doing this for the last 170 years. It’s
    about time.

    This also impressed me:

“The point of school, for our family right now, is to establish the new
normal; to help kids develop independence; to provide social interaction,
and, lastly, to learn some academics. I want my kids to keep learning,
always, and of course I want them to master new technology and be more
independent. These days, I’m desperate for that to happen, as quickly as
    possible.”

RPC students master this technology no later than grade 3.
